Welcome to my website! Stay up to date with my latest work and career progress. I'm currently working at the Mosquito Control Lab at the QIMRB where I'm continuing investigations into the mosquito-borne diseases that threaten Australia, their ecology, and novel strategies to control their spread.

Research Officer, Queensland Institute of Medical Research Berghofer (QIMRB), Brisbane, Australia

January 2026 — current

PhD Candidate, Griffith University, Australia

February 2022 — August 2025

• Topic - Japanese encephalitis virus transmission at Australian piggeries

• Designed and implemented novel bloodfed mosquito collection methods, gathering over 2,500 bloodfeds, including the first samples from commercial piggeries in Australia.

• Developed specialist skills spanning medical entomology, industry engagement, NGS sequencing, bioinformatics, and network modelling.

Research Assisant, University College Cork, Ireland

September 2019 — December 2021

• Topic - Development of wearable devices for Parkinson's disease care.

• Designed, analysed, and published an innovative method for comparing clinician ratings of Parkinson’s disease severity. Led a systematic review and meta-ethnography on user experience with wearable devices, resulting in a first-author publication cited over 120 times.
